Booking Fields
Go to Settings → Booking fields to add questions customers answer when they book. Customers fill them in on the confirmation step. The answers stay with the booking and appear in the booking details, the export file, and new-booking notification emails.
In this guide
- Add short answer, paragraph, single choice, or multiple choice fields, and make them required
- Show a field only for specific services
- View, fill in, or edit answers from the booking details
Who can do this
Only the Owner and Admins can add or edit fields. Members can view and edit answers on bookings they are assigned to.
Add a field
Open "Booking fields"
Click Settings → Booking fields in the sidebar, then click Add field at the top right.
Fill in the field
- 1 Field name: The question customers see on the booking page, for example “Student grade”.
- 2 Answer type: Short answer, Paragraph, Single choice, or Multiple choice.
- 3 Options: Shown for choice questions only. At least 2, no duplicates.
- 4 Required: When on, customers can’t submit the booking without answering.
- 5 Applies to: All services, or choose Specific services and pick the services to ask about.
What customers see
After choosing services and a time, customers reach the confirmation step and see an “Additional details” section below their contact details. It lists the fields that apply to this booking, in the order of your field list.
- When a booking includes several services, a field appears once if it applies to any of them.
- The booking can’t be submitted while a required field is empty or an answer isn’t one of the options.
- Multi-slot bookings are answered once, and each booking in the series keeps a copy.
- In LINE conversational booking, services with fields that apply send the customer a link to finish on the booking page.
- Signed-in customers can see their own answers, read-only, in the booking details of their customer center. The booking page opened from a notification email link doesn’t show them.
View and edit answers
- Booking details: Open a booking. The “Customer answers” card lists every answer. Click Edit to fill in or change answers, for example on a booking you added for a customer in the dashboard.
- Export: The booking export includes a “Custom field answers” column.
- Notification emails: New-booking emails sent to your business include the answers. Emails sent to customers don’t.
- Rebook: When you create a new booking with Rebook in the booking details, answers that still apply are copied over. Answers to deactivated fields, or answers that are no longer one of the options, aren’t copied.
Each answer keeps the question text as it was when the customer answered. Renaming, deactivating, or deleting a field later doesn’t change answers already received.

FAQ
Who can see customers’ answers?
Only your team: the Owner, Admins, and the member assigned to the booking. Answers are stored encrypted, and they’re deleted along with a customer’s personal data when the customer asks for deletion.
Can I ask a question only for some services?
Yes. Set Applies to to Specific services and pick the services. Customers who don’t choose those services won’t see the field.
If I change the options, do earlier answers change?
No. Answers already received stay as they are, and when you edit them in the booking details, the original answer is kept as an option.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Cause and fix |
|---|---|
| A customer can’t submit a booking | Check for a required field left empty. Required fields apply whenever the field applies to the services booked |
| LINE conversational booking sends a link instead | The service has a field that applies, and fields can’t be answered in the LINE chat, so the customer finishes on the booking page |
| No “Customer answers” card in the booking details | The booking has no answers and its services have no fields that apply |
