Notification Settings

Dolyu automatically sends a notification when an appointment is created, confirmed, canceled, completed, marked no-show, or rescheduled — these notification types are fixed system behavior, and currently individual types can't be turned off separately. What you can adjust is which channels you receive them on. Appointment reminders and post-completion re-engagement reminders are two separate automatic notifications that can each be toggled and timed independently — see "Appointment Reminders and Re-engagement Reminders" below.

Merchant Side

Under "Profile," check the channels you want to receive notifications on:

  • Browser Push
  • LINE message
  • In-app (on by default; uncheck to turn off)
  • Email

Customer Side

On the booking page, under "Profile," customers have fewer channels to adjust — just:

  • Email
  • LINE Message

INFO

For these six notification types — created, confirmed, canceled, completed, no-show, and rescheduled — there's no per-type toggle like "only receive confirmations, not cancellations." You can only choose which channels to receive them on overall.

Appointment Reminders and Re-engagement Reminders

Under "Booking Rules & Policies," you can configure two additional scheduled notifications:

  • Appointment Reminders: When enabled, customers are automatically notified before their appointment; you can set the "Reminder timing" (how many hours in advance). You can also turn on "Add a final reminder" to send one more notification closer to the appointment time, which also reminds staff to prepare.
  • Re-engagement Reminders: After an appointment is marked complete, customers are automatically reminded to book again a set number of days later; you can customize the message, or leave it blank to use the default message.

Both of these can be toggled independently, and the reminder hours/days are set by the merchant — this is unrelated to the earlier rule that the six notification types can't be turned off individually.

Add to Google Calendar

Appointment creation, confirmation, reschedule, and reminder notifications customers receive include an "Add to Google Calendar" link — clicking it adds that appointment to their own Google Calendar.

INFO

This is only a one-way "add to calendar" link — it is not a two-way calendar sync integration. Merchants currently cannot connect their own Google account, and there's no feature to automatically sync appointments into a merchant's Google Calendar.

Common Questions

A customer says they never got an Email notification, but the merchant side shows it as sent — why? Four common causes: (1) the customer's profile doesn't have Email checked as a channel; (2) the customer previously unsubscribed from that category of email, or was flagged as an invalid address (bounce/complaint), so future emails of that type are automatically suppressed; (3) the same notification was already sent once within the last 24 hours (a duplicate-suppression mechanism) — retriggering the same event again shortly after won't send a second copy; (4) a customer who was manually created or imported in the panel, and has never completed an online booking or logged in themselves, doesn't receive automatic emails — once they complete one online booking, or log in once via Google, LINE, or a verification code, they'll start receiving notifications normally. Ask the customer to check their spam folder, and confirm the channel settings on their profile page.

No LINE notifications are coming through — is the system broken? First confirm the customer's/merchant's account has LINE checked as a channel, and that the merchant has completed LINE Official Account integration (see "LINE Official Account Integration"). Only if both the channel and the integration check out and it still isn't working should you dig further into the integration settings.

What's the difference between the "final reminder" and the regular "appointment reminder"? The appointment reminder is the earlier, single advance notification (timing is customizable). Adding the "final reminder" sends one more notification closer to the appointment time and also notifies staff to prepare — useful for reducing last-minute no-shows. Whether each is enabled, and its timing, is configured independently.

Can the re-engagement reminder message be customized per service? Not currently — the re-engagement reminder message is a single custom message (leave it blank to use the default), with no option to set different text per service.

A customer clicked the Google Calendar link and nothing happened — what now? Confirm the customer opened the link in a browser (on phone or computer) that's signed into a Google account. This link simply generates a standard "add to calendar" URL — the actual behavior depends on how the customer's device handles calendar links, which is outside the merchant side's control or ability to debug.

Troubleshooting

  • I changed the channel settings, but old appointments still send on the old channels: Channel settings only affect notifications triggered going forward — they don't resend or change notifications that have already gone out.
  • The merchant isn't receiving any in-app notifications: First confirm "In-app" hasn't been unchecked in the notification preferences under "Profile" (this channel is on by default but can be turned off). If it's checked and you still don't see them, this is usually a stale screen that needs refreshing, or the logged-in account not having access to the merchant the appointment belongs to — not a notification-settings issue.
