Tags & Blocklist
Tags
Tags are defined entirely by the merchant — there's no fixed set of categories, and you can set your own names and colors. From the Customers list, you can add or remove tags for one customer or in bulk for several. Tag management is Admin/Owner only.
Blocklist
From a customer's detail page, you can mark them as blocked. This requires an optional reason and a confirmation step.
Blocking only stops that customer's online booking
Once blocked, the customer can no longer complete a new online booking through the booking page — the system blocks the submission and shows a message, with no manual staff review needed. The panel's customer list and detail page also show a red badge to flag it to staff.
Blocking does not affect the customer's ability to log in: they can still sign in the normal way (LINE/Google/Email), view their appointment history and points balance, and cancel or reschedule existing appointments as usual.
Unblocking is likewise Admin/Owner only and doesn't require a reason. Once unblocked, the customer can immediately book online again.
Manual blocking vs. automatic blocking
There are currently two sources for the blocklist:
| Source | Trigger | Where it's configured |
|---|---|---|
| Manual block | Staff mark it from the customer's detail page | The "Block" action on this page |
| Automatic block (by no-show count) | System auto-marks once the customer's cumulative no-show count hits the merchant's threshold | Auto-blacklist threshold setting under "Booking Rules & Policies" (1–10, leave blank to disable) |
Both sources share the same is_blacklisted state and the same red badge in the panel — the only difference is who or what triggered it. An automatic block also records a reason (e.g. "Automatic: X consecutive no-shows"), which the merchant can see on the customer's detail page, and it can be lifted at any time afterward just like a manual block. Cancellations currently don't trigger an automatic block — only no-shows do.

Common Questions
Are tags and the blocklist the same thing? No. Tags are purely for classification (e.g. "Regular," "VIP") and don't affect a customer's ability to book. The blocklist directly stops online booking. The two are unrelated — a customer can have tags and be blocked at the same time.
Can staff still manually create an appointment for a blocked customer? No. When a merchant tries to create an appointment for a blocked customer in the panel (via the appointment creation wizard), the system shows a warning and blocks it — the block must be lifted first.
Does unblocking reset the no-show count? No. Unblocking only clears the is_blacklisted state — the cumulative no-show count is not reset. If the no-show threshold is still configured, the customer will be automatically blocked again the next time they hit it.
Troubleshooting
A customer says they "can't complete a booking," but there's no block flag in the panel: first check whether the customer created a new record using different contact details (a different phone number or email) — the blocked state is tied to a specific customer record, not to a phone number or email itself.
A customer reports seeing "This business has restricted your online booking" on the booking page or their account page: check that customer's detail page to see if they're blocked (the reason field shows what triggered it); unblock them if you want to restore their booking access. Logging in and viewing history are unaffected by this message.
Not sure who blocked a customer, or why: start by checking the reason shown on the customer's detail page (an automatic trigger shows something like "Automatic: X consecutive no-shows").
