Cancel Subscription

Canceling your subscription is a self-service action in the dashboard — no need to contact support. This action is limited to the Owner/Admin role.

Steps

At the bottom of the "Subscription" page, click "Cancel Subscription." The flow has three steps:

  1. Choose a cancellation reason (required).
  2. Alternatives: If your reason is "It's too expensive" and you currently have unused seats, this step offers the option to reduce seats instead — showing how much you'd save per month by dropping to your actual seat usage. Choosing it keeps your subscription active instead of canceling it. You can also leave optional feedback here.
  3. Confirm: Shows the exact end date of service, what happens at that point, and what data is retained.

TIP

If you choose to reduce seats instead in step 2, submitting keeps your subscription active — it only schedules the lower seat count to apply starting next billing cycle, and doesn't start the cancellation flow.

What happens after canceling

  • If you're still on the trial (no paid subscription yet): The account moves to Canceled status immediately, with no grace period.
  • If you're on a paid subscription: It doesn't stop immediately — cancellation is scheduled for the end of the current billing period. That means even after clicking cancel, you can keep using the service for the remaining days. Before then, you can click "Undo Cancellation" on the "Subscription" page at any time to revert to a normal active subscription, with no need to go through checkout again.

INFO

Dolyu has no annual lock-in — canceling doesn't require paying an additional termination fee, and there's no early-termination charge.

Access after canceling

Before the billing period ends, the account's functionality stays normal (both the booking page and dashboard work as usual — you can keep managing appointments, customer records, and other existing functionality after canceling). Once the period ends, the system disables dashboard access:

  • Owner/Admin: Gets redirected to the "Subscription" page, showing a "Subscribe" button to reactivate.
  • Member: If the account has no other business with an active subscription to switch to, they won't be able to access the dashboard and will need to wait for the Owner/Admin to resubscribe.

INFO

An expired subscription doesn't automatically delete your business data or booking page — it only suspends dashboard access. Your data is retained, and resubscribing restores access immediately, with no need to re-configure services, staff, or customer data.

INFO

While pending expiration, the customer-facing booking page still browses normally, but once the subscription actually expires (the billing period has ended and it hasn't been resumed), the system blocks new booking submissions — customers will see a "Not accepting bookings" notice and won't be able to complete a new booking request. Before that point (for example, while cancellation is still scheduled but not yet effective), bookings can still be submitted normally. Merchant panel access, on the other hand, is disabled immediately upon expiration.

How we use your feedback

Your cancellation reason is required; additional feedback is optional. We use both to improve Dolyu. Neither is shown publicly or changes when your subscription ends.

Common Questions

Will my data be deleted after canceling? No. Your business settings, appointment records, customer data, wallet balances, and everything else are fully retained — the dashboard just becomes inaccessible once the billing period ends, and resubscribing restores full access.

I changed my mind after canceling — do I have to check out again? As long as you're still within the original billing period (it hasn't actually expired yet), you can click "Undo Cancellation" directly on the "Subscription" page — no need to go through Creem checkout again. If it has already truly expired, you'll need to resubscribe (going through the payment flow again).

Can customers still book through the booking page after I cancel? Yes. Until the billing period ends, customers can book and you can manage those bookings as usual. Once the subscription expires, the booking page stops accepting new bookings and access to the dashboard is limited to subscription management.

Can a Member cancel the subscription? No, canceling a subscription is limited to the Owner/Admin role.

Does canceling during the trial behave the same as canceling a paid subscription? No. Canceling during the trial takes effect immediately, with no grace period. Canceling a paid subscription is scheduled to take effect at the end of the billing period — you can keep using the service and undo the cancellation anytime before then.
