Multi-Slot Bookings

Dolyu supports creating a "multi-slot booking" that books several time slots at once — multiple appointments for the same customer share one series, so they can be managed together. This feature must first be turned on via "Allow multi-slot bookings" under "Booking Rules & Policies." Once enabled, you can configure the maximum number of slots per booking, the maximum number of series a single customer can create, and the window (in days) used for that calculation.

Merchants Creating a Multi-Slot Booking

Selecting 2 or more time slots at once when creating an appointment creates it as a series — each appointment within the same series starts out Pending. If some of the selected slots are already taken, the system simply skips them instead of failing the entire booking.

Customers Booking a Series Themselves

When customers select multiple time slots on the booking page, it's likewise created as a series, subject to the limit and time window the merchant has configured.

Canceling an Entire Series

In the Appointments list, appointments that belong to a series show a "Cancel all slots" action, which cancels every appointment in that series at once instead of one at a time.

INFO

There's currently no "prepaid session packages" feature for buying a block of sessions upfront and drawing them down — a multi-slot booking simply groups several independent time slots together for convenience; it isn't a deduction-based session-credit system.

How the Limit Is Calculated

The limit on how many series a single customer can create is a rolling time window, not a fixed calendar month or week: the system checks how many series that customer has created within your configured "Window (days)," and as long as they're under the limit within that window, they can create another series. Series older than the window don't count.

Common Questions

I selected 5 slots and 2 were already booked by someone else — what happens? The system skips the already-taken slots and creates the remaining 3 as a series normally — a partial conflict doesn't fail the whole booking. After creating it, check the list to confirm how many appointments were actually created.

Does each appointment in a series get its own confirmation/cancellation notification? Yes. A series is just a grouping for management purposes — notification logic is the same as for a regular appointment: each one triggers its own creation, confirmation, cancellation, etc. notifications (see "Notification Settings"); they aren't merged into a single notification just because they belong to the same series.

Can I cancel just one appointment in a series and keep the rest? Yes. The only series-wide action is "Cancel all slots" — if you only want to handle one appointment, use the regular cancel/reschedule action on that appointment directly; it won't affect the others in the series.

After a customer has used up their series limit for the period, can I still manually create another series for them from the merchant side? The limit applies to the creation activity as a whole, regardless of whether the merchant or the customer initiates it — a series created from the merchant side counts toward the same customer's limit and time window just the same.
